✂️ What adapted scissors for you use in your classroom? I came across these table top scissors last year, and I am still IN LOVE! They are far more affordable than table top scissors I have purchased in the past. In addition, they are compact and they come with a plastic guard for students who may require this safety feature!

🚌 I love seeing my book companions in action! This week @lovinglifeskills shared how she is using the CVI-friendly book companion for Time for School, Little Blue Truck! I absolutely love the Little Blue Truck series. The repetition lends itself well to creating an adapted book companion!

🧩 Let’s modify a puzzle! I love the simplicity of this three-piece shape puzzle! It is an excellent beginner puzzle! Sometimes modifying a puzzle can make it more visually friendly for students. This helps students use color to find the proper location for the puzzle pieces, as the light wooden indentations can be challenging to see. Modifications are not always required, but here is one way to modify this puzzle!
🧩 First, I used black spray paint and sprayed the entire puzzle. Once that was dry, I used acrylic paint and painted each shape it’s corresponding color! It took a few coats of paint!
